JUNE NECESSITIES TO GET YOUR SUMMER STARTED

- Brave Space Alliance: Brave Space Alliance is the first Black-led, Trans-led LGBT+ center located on the South Side of Chicago. They are dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent resources, programs, and services for LGBT+ people on the south and west sides of Chicago.
- The Trevor Project: This is the leading national organization for providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to people under 25 in the LGBT+ community.
- GLSEN: GLSEN advises on, advocates for, and researches comprehensive policies designed to protect LGBT+ students, as well as students of marginalized identities.
- Center on Halsted: Center on Halsted is dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of LGBT+ people in Chicagoland.
- Affinity: Affinity is a social justice organization serving the needs of the black LGBT+ community with an emphasis on serving black women. They work to support education, health, wellness, and safety, as well as advocacy and civic engagement.
- It Gets Better Project: This is a global non-profit that reaches millions of young people in the LGBT+ community through media programming, educational resources, international affiliates, and access to community based service providers.
